About
#27616 Maureen Barry first fell in love with Camp Dudley when her oldest son, #23016 Ryan, started his Cub year in 2013. She and her family felt at home and have loved the Dudley experience ever since. Ryan’s younger brother, #25359 Jack, couldn’t wait to attend Dudley six years later, and their sister Alanna and dad Robert embraced drop-offs and family weekends. In the early years, Ryan was so excited to be the first camper to arrive that he and Robert would leave Manhattan at three a.m. to arrive in Westport before anyone else. Ryan completed his four camper years, loved NOLS in July 2017, and embraced Dudley’s leadership track until the summer of 2024. Jack is looking forward to being a JL in 2025 after his camper years and serving as an Aide in 2024.
Born in New York City and raised in Ireland as a child, Maureen graduated from Fordham University and worked in various roles in a global construction management company for five years while earning her MA in communications. She then chose to return to Ireland, working in development at Trinity College, Dublin. That is where she and Robert, originally from Co. Kildare in Ireland, met and married before returning to the United States. Maureen worked at Saint David’s School as Director of Development for over 21 years and is now Vice President for Advancement at Regis High School in New York City, serving there since August 2023.
Most of Maureen’s career has been in mission-focused educational advancement with a view to putting “the other fellow first.” Saint David’s motto is “to be a good man,” and Regis’s mission is to be a “man for others.” She is fully committed to the Dudley-Kiniya mission “enabling boys and girls to lead lives characterized by devotion to others.” It is an honor to support the Camp Dudley and Kiniya communities in any way as we nurture our children, the next generation of leaders.
