Camp Rules & Important Info
Sending Mail to Your Camper
Mail is the only way to communicate with your son during their time here at Camp. Packages are not accepted unless speaking with the office first. When sending letters please include the following information:
- Camper Name
- Camper Cabin (Assigned on opening day and found in 1885 Camper account)
- Camp Dudley
- 126 Dudley Road
- Westport, NY 12993
Contacting Camp Dudley
Parents should always keep us informed of changes in their mailing address, telephone numbers or email address during the summer, even if leaving home for a short period of time. If we need to be in touch with you, we will call the numbers we have on file. We will also use email to communicate with all parents if needed throughout the summer. Please call the camp office at 518-962-4720 to make any changes.
Important Rules and Information
Dogs are not permitted at camp at any time
No smoking or drinking alcohol on Camp property
Candy or food cannot be kept in cabins as they attract wild animals. Do not send your child to camp with food or candy, and do not send them packages during camp. All food will be confiscated and not returned.
If your son wants to play his instrument he should bring it with him and check it in to Witherbee upon arrival.
Academic tutoring is not offered at Camp.
Boys should not bring electronic equipment of any kind to Camp. Cabin leaders will most likely have music to share with the cabin. No ipods, iphones, ipads or e-readers of any type allowed.
Cell phones are not permitted at Camp for campers through aides. If a phone is needed for travel, boys can turn in their phones to the office upon arrival.
Knives of any kind are not permitted.
Due to NYS regulations, cubs and plebes are not able to participate in riflery. Camp provides rifles and ammunition for use at the range. Please do not bring your own rifles or ammunition.
- Cash is not permitted at Camp. Spending money should be sent directly to the camp bank and should not kept in cabins.
