Camp Rules & Important Info

Sending Mail to Your Camper

Mail is the only way to communicate with your camper during their time here at Camp. Packages are not accepted unless speaking with the office first. When sending letters please include the following information:

Contacting Camp

Parents should always keep us informed of changes in their mailing address, telephone numbers or email address during the summer, even if leaving home for a short period of time. If we need to be in touch with you, we will call the numbers we have on file. We will also use email to communicate with all parents if needed throughout the summer. Please call the camp office at 518-962-4720 to make any changes. Phone calls with campers are not allowed.

Visiting Camp

Parents and family members are not allowed to visit campers during the camp season. You have chosen to send your child to camp for an independent experience and direct interaction with your child is not ideal. All families are welcome to join us at the end of the camp session for Family day.

Important Rules & Information

  • No animals are allowed on campus at any time, without Director approval. We kindly ask that you leave all pets at home.
  • No smoking or drinking alcohol on Camp property
  • No fireworks.
  • Candy or food cannot be kept in cabins as they attract wild animals. Do not send your child to camp with food or candy, and do not send them packages during camp. All food will be confiscated and not returned.
  • If your camper wants to play his/her instrument he/she should bring it with him/here and check it in upon arrival.
  • Academic tutoring is not offered at Camp.
  • Campers should not bring electronic equipment of any kind to Camp. Cabin leaders will most likely have music to share with the cabin. No iPods, iPhones, iPads or e-readers of any type allowed.
  • All campers a responsible for their own sports equipment while at Camp.
  • Cell phones are not permitted at Camp for campers through Aides. If a phone is needed for travel, campers can turn in their phones to the office upon arrival.
  • Weapons of any kind are not permitted on campus, at any time.
  • Due to NYS regulations, Cubs and Plebes at Dudley are not able to participate in riflery. Camp provides rifles and ammunition for use at the range. Please do not bring your own rifles or ammunition.
  • Cash is not permitted at Camp. Spending money should be sent directly to the Camp Bank and should not be kept in cabins.
  • Upon arrival all vehicles must proceed to and park at the upper parking lot.

Alcohol, Smoking and Drugs

  • Members of the Dudley & Kiniya community who are under the age of 21 may NOT consume alcoholic beverages .
  • Providing alcoholic beverages to underage individuals is strictly prohibited at Dudley & Kiniya.
  • Members of the Dudley & Kiniya community who are 21 years of age or older who choose to consume alcohol must do so in a manner consistent with Vermont & NY State law and must remain capable of functioning in a leadership capacity. Excessive intake of alcohol will not be tolerated.
  • Members of the Camp Dudley at Kiniya community may not possess, use, distribute, or attempt to purchase any dangerous or illegal drugs, hallucinogens, or drug paraphernalia.
  • Whenever leaders or staff go off campus for their night(s) out, they must assign a DESIGNATED DRIVER who agrees to remain completely sober at any event or destination where they will be that evening.
  • SMOKING, HAZING, AND JUULING IS NOT PERMITTED anywhere on campus including camp vehicles and buildings.
