Off-Season at Camp Dudley & Kiniya
Father/Son Weekend: February 22-24, 2019
Father/Son Weekend is the second oldest of our year-round programs and a perfect way to have those who will be new campers experience a fun filled stay at Camp Dudley. The weekend is centered on outdoor activities, and winter in Westport seldom disappoints. This adventure includes a snowy hike, a climb on the big wall in Sommer Hall, a walk (yes, a walk) on Lake Champlain and lots of hearty food.
While we encourage those who will be first time campers to attend, we have never had to turn away any of our veterans, so this event is open until the spaces are filled. This weekend will help get your boy comfortable in his surroundings and introduce him to many other boys who will be attending Camp with him in the upcoming summer.
If you are interested in participating, contact Dawn Gay at (518) 962-4720 or write to her at [email protected]. Contributions to the Camp Dudley Annual Fund are encouraged by participants.
Mother/Daughter Weekend: TBD
Mother/Daughter Weekend started before Camp Dudley was fortunate enough to be able to offer a girls’ camping experience. After the acquisition of Camp Dudley at Kiniya on the Colchester, Vermont property in 2006, Mother/Daughter Weekend has grown into a vibrant and vital adventure that attracts families looking to make some wonderful winter memories.
Moms and their girls come up and stay in the heated facilities in Westport, New York. The event includes a ride to Kiniya, a brisk morning snowshoe around our beautiful campus in Colchester and a cook-out lunch on Kiniya’s main campus. Then it’s back to Westport for the challenges offered by a scoot up the climbing wall and a relaxing game of moms versus daughters in dodge ball – or maybe some checkers.
We think you’ll find the Mother/Daughter Weekend a fun and unique way for you to connect with each other while introducing new families to the Dudley program. Girls ages 8-14 are encouraged to attend.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Marnie at (518) 962-4720 or write to her at [email protected]. Contributions to the Camp Dudley Annual Fund are encouraged by participants.
