Tuition Assistance Program
As a charitable, non-profit organization, we strive to ensure that as many families as possible have access to our programs regardless of ability to pay. Families have the option of utilizing our Tuition Assistance Program. For this tuition option we ask families to submit a financial aid application through a separate online application administered by TADS, a widely used and highly respected financial aid application program.
Our campers come from 34 states and 20 countries. Our top five states in 2017 were New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and California.
Our program is based on four pillars – Arts, Athletics, Outdoors, & Spirituality.
- Arts – Campers gain experience in the Arts through the Arts Majors Program, Saturday Night Shows, and the Wednesday Night Show. Both campuses feature dedicated dramatic and fine arts spaces where the campers gain a fuller appreciation for artistic endeavors in several mediums.
- Athletics – Our goal with athletics is to support each camper’s character and leadership development. Our athletics program has three different components: Divisional Team Games, Team Majors, and Individual Majors. While there is an opportunity for campers to focus on some sports, we are a generalist camp and the campers will play sports that they are familiar with, but they will also play sports that they may learn for the very first time.
- Outdoors – The Outdoors program offers a variety of progressive experiences for each age group that allows for truly impactful character and leadership development. Along with trips in the Adirondack Park and Green mountains, Dudley & Kiniya boast additional wilderness properties away from Main Campus that support outdoor programming.
- Spirituality – This plays an important role in every day at Dudley & Kiniya. This program pillar rounds out our entire program by encouraging our campers to take time to think about important questions that confront them each day of camp and beyond. We were founded on Christian ideals, and welcome and encourage the expression of ALL faiths and philosophies. The most important aspects of our spiritual program are daily morning Chapel Talks, Vespers at the end of each day, and Chapel and Hymn Sing on Sundays.
We also offer off-campus experiences once campers progress into our Leadership Development Program at age 15. We have an over 50 year relationship with a camp in Hanover, Germany where we have an exchange. We also run a program with the Spain YMCA. And we have a partnership program with NOLS in Lander, Wyoming.
Our cabins are run by young men and women who have been campers in our program and have gone through an intensive training program in the summers prior to them taking the helm of their own cabin. We call our counselors Leaders, because that is what is expected of them in their work with campers.
