Friendships have always been a big part of what makes campers and staff love Kiniya and return year after year! We’re all about making friends and creating strong connections! At Camp, you have the opportunity to really connect, face-to-face and without distractions, with other girls from a wide variety of backgrounds and from all over the world! 

At Council Ring, out on a sailboat, during meals, enjoying the sunset together behind Coleman Hall, and many other camp moments every day provides you with the opportunity to really connect! Circled around at evening vespers, sharing ideas and thoughts and dreams, you get to know each other really well, learn to appreciate one another’s unique qualities, and form deep bonds of friendship. In fact, many campers say their camp friends are their closest friends! 

Become a Leader!

At Kiniya, you’ll be supported by a pretty awesome group of leaders and staff, all of whom are here to ensure you have the best summer possible! They’ll help you learn our ways and be super interested in learning about you too! They will teach and inspire you and support you every step of the way!

As the summer progresses, you’ll have opportunities of your own where you can take a leadership role within your group to serve and help others. Whether it is by setting the tables before a meal, helping clean an area of camp, or helping out at an activity, you’ll have the chance to be a leader.
