Dudley’s Director & Leaders
The entire team is led by our director, #13804 Matt Storey. Matt started as a full-season cub in 1985 in Burr Lodge and has been involved at Dudley ever since. Some of his best friends in life are his buddies from Dudley, and all of his other friends know of his passion for Camp. Prior to to his start as Director, he was the Camp’s Business Manager, and before that owned a marketing agency in Williamstown, MA, that specialized in working with non-profits, youth organizations and small businesses. A 1996 graduate of St. Lawrence University, he studied English and played soccer and basketball, (and more importantly, he met his wife, Jessica C. Storey #16999). Matt has always loved working with kids on and off the fields. When recently asked what his favorite summer was, he noted “each one is better than the last, including my first as Director in 2010!”
Matt lives and plays on campus in Westport with his wife Jessica and three kids, Ellie, Carter and Rachel. All three kids are campers and love every minute of their time at camp. Matt serves on the Board of Trustees at the Holderness School in Plymouth, NH and has helped coach the children of Westport through the Westport Youth Commission.
Each year we assemble a team of camping professionals who are in charge of creating an amazing summer for our campers. We have 21 year round employees who make this all happen. Each of our 45 cabin leaders has been hand selected and have come up through the Dudley Leadership training program. Most of them started as cubs when they were 11! Now they have their own cabins and are in charge of the well being of our campers.
