Princeton, NJ

Chip arrived at Dudley in 1963 from Shaker Heights, OH, as a junior after his folks had heard about the place from his great uncle, Tom Tredwell. Chip spent the next 8 summers at Dudley, with a small army of mentors including George Nelson, Ed Young, Rusty Davis, Rollie Stichweh, Cleve Penberthy, and Willie Schmidt, his boss in the A-Hut, “Who taught me that you simply can’t have too much fun each and every day.”

A graduate of Dartmouth in 1972, and Chicago B-School in 1975, Chip has spent his career in finance, with Citibank, US Trust Company, M&T and General Electric Capital, where he continues today “financing energy investments with a particular focus on wind power.”

Chip and his wife, Marilyn, live in Princeton, NJ, with his daughter Haley, a high school senior, and his son Andrew, in the fifth grade. “I’ve been blessed with many great teachers in my life. Whenever I have tried to thank them, to a person, they all have said that the best way to thank them is to pass their lessons on to others. Serving on the Dudley Board is a terrific opportunity to pass on some of those lessons on to others. Serving on the Dudley Board is a terrific opportunity to pass on some of those lessons.”
