To say that we’ve been blessed with good weather this summer would be an understatement. During the first session, we did not lose a single activity period to a rainy day schedule. Over the recent Parent’s Weekend, we had brief, cooling showers as parents were heading home after an amazing Hymn Sing, only to return to sunshine the next morning. It poured on Monday, but then the sun came back to greet parents on Tuesday. And we had one thunder shower just as the last few parents dropped off their sons. Evening divisional activities happened as planned, only this time under the reach of an amazing double rainbow.
And now we’re off to the races again, with happy campers filling the fields and courts, their trunks unpacked and settled into their cabins. The energy level is high as we begin the second session, smiles stretch from ear to ear. The magic has returned and we are ready to do it all over again. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that the weather cooperates, but even if it doesn’t, we’ll find that pot of gold!
